This course has taught me how to appreciate the community has a whole and its members. As students, we were exposed to different community theories and different types of communities. The course focused on higher thinking through travel tours, group discussions, and speakers. We visited different communities like Over-the-Rhine, Price Hill, and North side. Below are buttons that link to sites of places that we traveled to throughout the course.
What I realize: teaching becomes more fun when your peers are as involved as your professor. It was great to see how my views changed from the beginning of the course to the end of the course. We had a small class of about 14 other students who enjoyed learning something outside of their perspective majors. We learned about something that was not in our majors, but we will be able to apply the knowledge to our everyday life - how to be an active community member. Please read the blog posts before this to witness my intellectual development as the course developed. Also, please feel free to read my yellow button below that is my paper for the course.
